Don't Break the Chain 22 (#201-210)

201. A callback to #101 and #102 from page 11. Brownie and Bluebird, important to my history as they are, haven't made any more appearances. Pandora, however, has made several, despite (as said here) only ever being planned to appear in one story... which got cancelled. Bluebird isn't happy about this.
202. A continuation of the callback. Brownie isn't in the mood to listen to a rant like this.
203. It's 2018! This pretty much sums up my feelings on the subject. (I kind of just noticed... these two guys have very similar heads, aside from the snouts and facial features.)
204. Taco still loves cereal (a callback to #14 from page 2).
205. An anthro salamander with black goo on his hands. I don't really know why I drew this; you should be able to see that it's drawn a bit more roughly than most drawings in this book, to reflect how it was kind of experimental. It inspired me to do a proper picture, but I pictured it being all black and orange... and I just uploaded a drawing which was all black and orange, so maybe I should wait until I've done something else first.

207. A cute Jangmo-o. I really like this design. It's a perfect example of how Game Freak rethought their design principles for Gen 6 and 7.
208. Remember SweetiPod, from 2013?

That drawing turned out to be pretty popular (it currently has 2,075 views and 225 faves). That kind of surprised me, since I always thought the face was weird, even then. Anyway, here's a callback to that (a lot of callbacks on this page, I know). I haven't drawn an anthro pony in about 2 and a half years, so this felt kind of weird. It should be noted that I didn't use any pictures of Sweetie Belle for reference; I just used the older drawing to help!
209. Manly Gardevoir. I've gotten back into PewDiePie recently (I went off him in 2015 when he had a massive identity crisis about what his YouTube persona was, but he's finally recovered), and he's grown quite an impressive beard. It inspired me.
210. Girl Gallade. I only realised after I started drawing that this implies she was a he mere moments ago.

Right, so, I should mention that I'm taking a short break from this challenge... because it's too challenging. It's kind of exhausting, and the plethora of drawings which make some kind of comment on how difficult it is to come up with ideas should have tipped you off by now. I managed a 130-day streak without missing any days, and have only missed 5 days out of 215. I'm taking a week's break - just long enough to recharge a little, and use my free time in the evenings to try and sort out my YouTube project (yes, THAT one).
